Logan Drummond

Being raised in Waitākere’s temperate rainforest and farmland has led to an appreciation of ecology; and the cultural landscapes of food production and land management.

Gardening and permaculture as early work and education steered me toward the completion of a Master of Landscape Architecture (VUW).

After starting in 2018, I now work as Design Director at O2 Landscapes in Auckland. I believe that celebration and documentation of remnant ecology and traditional knowledge will lead to a more resilient future.

Growing up along the same ridgeline as Logan, we have formed a shared passion for the outdoors and the unique flora of Aotearoa.

I am currently a Ranger in the Biodiversity Monitoring Team for for Te Papa Atawhai (DOC), working among the indigenous forests throughout the backcountry of the North and South Islands. In my previous roles at Wildland Consultants and Morphum Environmental, I led and collaborated on projects with a focus on ecological restoration, monitoring and effects management.

In my spare time I am an avid tramper, wannabe rock climber, and enthusiast for all kinds of self-powered adventures.
